Stella McCartney had extra cause to celebrate last night when she joined comedians Vic Reeves and Paul Whitehouse in switching on her store's Christmas lights. Fresh off her
win for Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards, Macca's little girl has been named the most searched-for fashion designer of the year, by the 2012 Google Zeitgeist list. Holla!
Beyond her obvious fabulousness, McCartney no doubt has her role in designing the Team GB kit for the Summer Olympics to thank for her spike in online popularity among U.K. users.
It was also a big year for Karl Lagerfeld. The Chanel designer came second in the rankings, while Victoria's Secret's London launch propelled the lingerie brand to third place.

New Mayfair resident Alice Temperley
and then Versace rounded out the top five, while the
Duchess of Cambridge
edged out the late, great Whitney Houston to be named the most searched-for celebrity of the year.
