Marc Jacobs Is Homeless Post-Hurricane Sandy

While the trials and tribulations of posh West Village residents in the wake of Hurricane Sandy don't seem that tremendous when taking into account, say, the Rockaways, a tired-looking Marc Jacobs is oddly tugging on the heartstrings. Though the TMZ headline makes it sound like poor MJ is lamenting his hardships to anyone who'll listen, a video of the designer shows him taking his pooch for a walk and sheepishly admitting he is currently on the market for a new place.
Jacobs, who has (like many of his brethren) relocated uptown, was chased down by paps with a video camera and asked how he was faring post-Sandy. He explained that his "house was flooded...and I need to find another place to live." After making a sad face, Jacobs continues on his way.
Commenters lambaste Jacobs for being blue while the rest of the city suffers the loss of their homes as well — without the capital that MJ has access to! — but losing a house, belongings, and also being displaced is a terrible thing...no matter if you're the type to be interviewed on TV or are rebuilding in Staten Island. Hurricanes, it appears, don't care who you are. (TMZ)
