After perusing the photo album (via Instagram, naturally) of David Cross and Amber Tamblyn's wedding ceremony this past weekend, we're officially dubbing the indie affair as the hipster wedding of the season. We were, of course, going to bestow the title upon Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively (who were in attendance), but the Arrested Development actor and his much younger bride blew all other celeb couples out of the alternative water.
First of all, Tamblyn didn't even wear white: She opted for a floor-length yellow-lace gown and ditched fancy footwear altogether, choosing to go barefoot as she exited her kayak (yes, a watercraft). And, although the official pics weren't splashed across tabloids, we were able to get a peek of the procession and the star-studded guest list thanks to the evening's DJ, Questlove. He snapped the pair cutting the (cheese)cake, enjoying their first dance, and the A-listers in attendance, including Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Lively. Oh, and we nearly forgot to mention that Yo La Tengo performed during the reception — obviously, all this rustic gathering was missing was a few more Mason jars! (US Weekly)
