Mindy Kaling Sends A String Of Fake Fashion Week Tweets, Hilarity Ensues

Welcome to NYFW: Industry insiders like Rachel Zoe, Anna Della Russo, and the Olsens get VIP access while the rest of us plebs are left to get our Fashion Week news via live streams, tweets, and Instagram. Luckily, our favorite Office comedienne, Mindy Kaling, kept us entertained with a string of tweets poking fun at the week-long fashion affair and the insiders who frequent the tents. She gets us! Her snarky commentary had us snickering (and retweeting) all weekend.

First, she's late for the Alexander Wang show because she couldn’t rouse Adrien Brody out of bed at the Soho Trump. She rubs shoulders with Roitfelds and Ronsons at a “subterranean bar in LES.” Later, fellow funnyman Aziz Ansari (of Parks and Recreation fame) joined the fray, asking if Mindy was coming to see his Hermès collaboration for babies. We couldn't contain ourselves. This is why we love Mindy Kaling — and why we can't wait for her new show, The Mindy Project!
