Childbirth is a beautiful thing, which is why we often gift new 'rents with congratulatory onesies or nursery decor. But, when Posh and Becks welcomed a wee one to the world (their first girl, nonetheless!), there's no way a trip to Toys"R"Us would do. Instead, the British duo enlisted their good friend Damien Hirst to create a one-of-a-kind canvas for the babe's new bedroom.
Before you say "eww" instead of "aww" (Hirst is well-known for wacky works including a shark steeped in formaldehyde and a diamond-encrusted human skull), the piece is reportedly a lilac heart titled "Daddy's Girl." Harper's soccer star father recently revealed the news to Esquire mag, along with tidbits on family life and the like. Seriously swoon-worthy stuff!
After learning that the stylish celeb spawn counts pricey art pieces as her own, we can't help but wonder what she'll accrue come her sweet sixteen. (In addition to works by Hirst, the couple's collection includes Sam Taylor Wood, Tracey Emin, Banksy, and Jake and Dinos Chapman.) Plus, couldn't you totally see Harper as a petite patron of MOCA?
