When you're Lady Gaga, money takes a back seat to more pressing matters like eggs and new planets, as evidenced by the fact that she went bankrupt after her Monster's Ball tour—and didn't even know it! The tour, which extended over 18 months and a massive 200 shows, was famed for its elaborate costumes that contributed to Gaga's fame almost as much as her music. Well, apparently those costumes cost her a pretty penny, so much so that she was majorly in the red. She admitted the extent of her problems to Stephen Fry in The Financial Times, saying "And I remember I called everybody and said, 'Why is everyone saying I have no money? This is ridiculous, I have five No. 1 singles'—and they said, 'Well, you're $3m in debt.'" You'd think having a dress made entirely of meat would save money, no?
