Foodie Files: Zoe Lister-Jones Tells Us Her 5 Fave NYC Eats

We know by now that orange mocha Frappuccinos are nearly impossible to duplicate, and that gasoline fights can be truly tragic, but this Brooklyn native could be the biggest proponent of the slashie award since Derek Zoolander lost out to the beautiful Hansel — and not just for her good looks. Enter: Zoe Lister-Jones — this singer, actress, playwright and filmmaker has starred in her own one-woman shows, sang onstage, and even co-created a movie with her boyfriend about their open relationship... all while maintaining a completely Pinterestable level of hair inspiration. (Seriously, it's the red that dye dreams are made of.) The NYU Tisch alumna was most recently seen on Whitney as the foul-mouthed comedian's best friend Lily, but from the looks of it, she could be spotted at one of the East Village's juice bars or a Thai joint in Bed-Stuy just as often.
Lister-Jones recounted the five best things she's eaten over a course of a borough-living lifetime, and for a lady who co-wrote, co-produced, and co-starred in her own flick, Lola Versus , last spring, this gastronomical journey is just as multifaceted as you might expect. Who knew salads could be so interesting? Or that desserts could be made out of non-sweets? With such interesting choices, pass on ordering that same ol' sandwich from that same ol' bodega, and hop aboard (and click through) this ListerJones-led tasting tour.
