Umi Nom
"I love a good Thai beef salad. No. That's not a euphemism. As you might have gleaned from the salad at Diner I dug, I'm a girl who likes a sweet salad. Because truth be told no one really wants to eat salad. But with some papaya, salty peanuts, beef, and sweet sauce, it is only a salad by name. I had said salad most recently at Umi Nom, which is a dope spot in Bed Stuy run by the chef of Lower East Side dope spot Kuma Inn. Spread love, it's the Brooklyn way."
Umi Nom, 433 Dekalb Avenue (at Classon Avenue); Brooklyn; 718-789-8806.
