Can Zara Make Gladiator Sandals Happen Again?

Not all gladiator sandals are created equal. There are some that elegantly wrap around your ankle a couple times, or chunky pairs that hug your whole foot. Then, there's the kind that looks like an intricately spun web that would take no less than 20 minutes to slip into. This is the kind Zara would like to make happen for spring.

With the release of the new spring ’15 collection, one of our favorite fast fashion brands is making a strong case for the nearly knee-high shoe shape that was not only popular about five or six years back, but also on the spring Fashion Week runways. Now, we're not here to knock someone's sandal game — and certainly not ugly shoe game — but we do wonder if summer 2015 is ready to bring back the gladiator style. They aren't the most effortless of pairs, nor the kind you want to get a tan in.
