If you've rocked the shrunken-leather jacket and draped cocktail dress combo, chances are you were inadvertently copping Yigal Azrouël's signature look, developed 12 years ago by the Israel-to-NYC transplant. Since the launch of his eponymous womenswear label, Azrouël has opened a flagship boutique in the Meatpacking District, been inducted into the CFDA, and debuted a full menswear and capsule accessories collection. It's a fashion journey that's made the designer's name synonymous with modern sportswear. And while we've often coveted the dude's signature duds, the prices have always been a bit prohibitive for serious stockpiling. Enter Cut25, a secondary line that combines Azrouël's recognizable aesthetic with affordabish price-points—almost every piece is undr $500. Most everything is produced in NYC at Yigal's own studio, making the fall '10, and the new resort '11 collections a paean to high fashion with a downtown sensibility. Look for lots of going-out dresses, oversized jersey tops, and, of course, his swoon-worthy leather in the form of leggings and jackets in flattering silhouettes. This is one line you won't want to "cut" out of your wardrobe.

How To Give The Perfect Gift Every Time

Let's face it. No matter what, there are some people who are just hard to shop for — your astoundingly chic friend whose style you can only hope to emulate, your boss who seems to have everything, your anything-goes-but-not-really dad. And, the worst offenders might be creative folks, whose aesthetic can be tough to read

The Best Of New York Nail Salons

We don’t mean to brag, but New York City is the birthplace of a very important place: the nail salon. Back in 1878, an entrepreneurial woman opened Mrs. Pray's Manicure, the country’s first parlor for the treatment, filing, and buffing of nails. (Actual lacquer, as we know it, wasn’t invented for a few more decades.) read
