What does your role encompass from day-to-day?
"My daily job is to communicate with stylists, publicists, and our press offices in Paris and New York. The bulk of my job is celebrity dressing. Because of the time difference with France, I only have a few hours to liaise with the Paris press office. So, mornings are usually pretty busy! I'm constantly sending clothes to stylists for their fittings with actors, or I'll do the fittings directly. A lot of my job is maintaining relationships with stylists and celebrity publicists, and being in-the-know about what's happing in Hollywood in regards to actors, premieres, and events and such. I try to schedule a couple of lunches a week to keep up with key people. Another big part of my job is researching the next big star, so I spend a lot of time tracking actors who would be a good fit for Balenciaga — not just physically — but also based upon their choice of movies, and what I can gather of their personalities and spirits. This is the part of my job I enjoy the most: the 'casting' aspect. I love going after actors who are a good fit for the brand."

How long have you had your gig and how did you come by it?
"I've been at Balenciaga full time for just over five years, but I consulted for the brand prior to that, researching a retail space for them in Los Angeles. My relationship with the company and Nicolas Ghesquière dates back to '98, when I worked at PR Consulting in NYC, and Balenciaga was a brand-new client."

What's the biggest perk to your job?
"Besides access to the incredible clothing and accessories, the biggest perk has been traveling to NYC, Milan, and Paris twice a year to help coordinate casting and fittings with models for our shows. This is unrelated to my daily activities, so it's a great honor to be part of a very small team during a very exciting time of the year."
