Woodsy Is The New Flowery In Fragrance Land

I have a new obsession with anything that smells like the woods. I'm not sure if it's because I've been trapped indoors for what's starting to feel like years or if I've just finally found a fragrance note that suits my soul. Either way, scents with sandalwood, cedar, patchouli, vetiver — anything that smells like a winding forest path — have become automatically appealing to me.
My favorite part of woodsy scents is that they smell like the outdoors without that all-too-common sickly floral overlay. What is it about the smell of flowers that so quickly turns from pleasant to stale? I want to smell like springtime in a more authentic way, to remind myself of what being outside actually feels like: Mud on my boots, sunshine bouncing off my SPF-covered face, picking grass out of my dog's curly fur, trees whispering in the wind. Capturing those feelings in one woodsy aroma? Perfection.
Ahead, the fragrances I can't get my nose out of. And, let me know the products that you'll be using to get through the final weeks of winter — we're all in this together.
