NYC will play host city to WIE's (Women: Inspiration & Enterprise) first ever Women's Inspirational Symposium—an organization that aims to promote global awareness for safe motherhood, with all proceeds going to the White Ribbon Alliance, The Urban Zen Foundation and partner non-profits—on September 20th. Hosted by powerhouses Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan and Sarah Brown, the symposium will focus on the central theme of "Women Inspiring Women". Attracting an awe-inspiring list of female speakers and panelists from all walks of life, including the likes of Nora Ephron, Diane von Furstenberg, Tamara Mellon, Liya Kebede and Tavi (she's really nailing the lecture circuit, eh?), topics will touch on the future of women in technology and females leading the way in business. The all-day event will also include a performance by Estelle, with some special surprise guests! Plus, just in case you're not over FW, Donna Karan will be curating a fashion show of all white dresses by some female design legends (TBD). Girl Power!!!
