Hotel Zetta (San Francisco)

This design-forward and sustainably minded urban getaway is already the buzz of the San Fran art, fashion, and tech communities…and it’s not even open yet. Soft opening on February 18, Hotel Zetta has 116 rooms designed to feel like modern, high-tech city lofts, but it’s the artful common spaces that really impress; in the lobby, reclaimed and reused materials like old lumberyard wood make up the front desk and wall hangings, while a chandelier of old sunglass lenses cascades from the ceiling. The Playroom (or as the hotel calls it, the hotel’s “physical social network”) has a pool table, shuffleboard, video games, and a vintage London red telephone booth from which guests can place food orders. Take advantage of the $175 opening rate, which lasts through March 1.
