Dramatica — This look is drama personified, so over-the-top is the name of the game. Soliz used the eyeliner as an eyeshadow, drawing it all over the lid and blending with a brush to smudge. He then used the pencil to line all around the eye, looping it around the tear duct and going over it with a brush — not to smudge, but to slightly blur the edges. Using the mascara wand, he began pressing the brush onto the eyelid to create textured "dots" and a kind of stippled effect. He concentrated the thickness of the dots at the lash line, petering out as he got to the crease. He also did this trick underneath the eye. Four coats of mascara were added to top and bottom lashes for an über-vampy, volumized look.
Lipstick was applied to the cheeks with a brush and around the perimeter of the face to create warmth and was followed up with bronzer all over to sculpt. For the lips, Soliz applied lipstick with a brush, then put a tiny bit of black liner on a lip brush and painted it on to the outer corners of the lips— shading, not lining!—to add dimension.
