Jack Tatum’s indie pop outfit Wild Nothing has done a pretty great job of capturing the genre’s inherant nostalgia and romance, and the band's recently released, Nocturne, LP takes us on a beautifully realized emotional journey. To wit: the band has just dropped a new video for its track “Paradise,” which stars none other than the current queen of domestic disappointment, Michelle Williams. Director Matthew Amato follows Williams as she take a plane trip (in coach, no less) across the country to Niagara Falls. Colors flair with lomographic intensity and shots of waterfalls and Los Angeles beaches are gorgeous in a best-of-Instagram sort of way. It all works nicely with the song's '80s-inflections, although the high point is surely the spoken word section where Williams reads from British author/philosopher Iris Murdoch's novel A Word Child. She probably picked that up in the airport bookstore, right? Get ready to feel some feelings.
