How To Make Milk Out Of Any Kind Of Nut

Believe it or not, nut milk couldn't be easier to make! As you're likely aware, it's also seriously delicious — and good for you. Plus, this recipe lets you pick your favorite nut. Even if you're a dairy lover, I encourage you to try this homemade non-dairy variety. I promise you're going to want to enjoy it with everything from granola to fresh fruit to your favorite hot cereal — but drinking it straight is pretty awesome, too.

You will need a nut milk bag or cheesecloth, but in a pinch, you can use a reusable coffee filter. Just make sure it's really clean, or your nut milk will taste like coffee!

Ingredients
1 cup nuts (almonds, cashews, or walnuts)
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp vanilla
3 dates, pitted and diced
1/4 tsp of pink salt
A pinch of cinnamon

Instructions
1. Soak 1 cup of nuts overnight.

2. After the nuts have soaked overnight, strain them and place in a blender with 4 cups of water, and blend until smooth.

3. Squeeze the blended milk through a nut milk bag and pour back in blender.

4. Add remaining ingredients and blend on high. Pour the milk into air-tight containers and refrigerate. It will keep for about 3 to 4 days.
