What I'm Wearing: "I'm a fast-fashion plate today! Lace top and pleated skirt (got it for $15!) from H&M, coat from Uniqlo. The boots are from Go Jane, the vest is a thrift find, and the pearl necklace was a gift I received two days ago. The tassel necklace (it's actually a curtain tie) is something I picked up for $2.50 at a Jewish upholstery store in Williamsburg, and my ginormous scarf is from Giant Tiger, the Canadian version of TJ Maxx, but possibly cheaper."
Hair Secret: "No secrets, I'm so no-maintenance, I don't even know how to blow-dry my hair! When I'm having a bad hair day, I just twist my hair in a bun and secure with an elastic. I used to get a combination root relax/digital perm treatment at this amazing Korean salon in Manila where I'm from, which gave me wash-and-go waves, but since I moved here, I've been searching for a replacement. So if you have any leads, I'm all ears!"
Reading List: "My boyfriend just gave me a Kindle and I speed read through Stieg Larsson's Millenium Trilogy (I know, I'm way behind!) in a span of two weeks. I also just finished Incarceron, which I heard is going to be made into a movie staring Taylor Lautner and Emma Watson. And you must read Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games. The plot is reality tv on print, but with much more grit and violence. Hmm.. I feel like the books I read almost always end up on the big screen."
Fave New Restaurant: "It's not new but Patricia's is a family-style Italian restaurant in Williamsburg close to where I live. They have a really good bresaola pizza but I'm addicted to their arugula salad. It's simple but so good."
