Fashion Plates: What To Wear To Downtown’s New Spot, Mo-Chica

slide
If you've managed to score a ressie at Ricardo Zarate's always-packed Picca, then you're fully aware of this chef's serious skill. For those of you who need further convincing, the Peruvian sushi guru (that's not a joke!) just won Food & Wine's People's Best New Chef award, solidifying his kitchen street cred. And as if he wasn't busy enough, Zarate and his business partner, Stephane Bombet (featured in our hardest-working dads' story!), just opened what will soon be the must-munch downtown destination.
Located across the street from Mas Malo and just next door to Bottega Louie, the brand-spankin'-new Mo-Chica serves up arguably the best ceviche under the sun and is doling out the most divine quinotto. And if that's doesn't turn your taste buds on, note that the bar is stocked solely with Latin spirits.

With communal seating and family-style dining, this place is ultra casual, so you shouldn't over dress. But, color is also key (local artist Kozem left his graffiti mark at the venue, and you can't miss those vibrant sculptures lining the walls), so we styled a vivid six-ingredient ensemble that would make any Peruvian proud. After all, since you'll be chowing down on delectable spicy food, you should channel one hot tamale, too, no? Peep our food-and-fashion pairing right here and consider your Saturday night plans finalized.
