Portraits Exhibition—Works by Italian street-art duo Sten and Lex, who are thought of as pioneers in the art of stencil graffiti, are coming Brooklyn this weekend for the Brooklynite Gallery's fall exhibition, Portraits. New York street artist Gaiai will also be showing his two series of portraits, called "Sunsets" and "Legacy," for the exhibit. No word on whether Bansky will be there. Mayer Hawthorne & The Country with The Heavy at Bowery Ballroom—Get your music fix this weekend with a trip to Webster Hall to see Mayer Hawthorne & The Country. Detroit-native Hawthorne sold out a bunch of dates in NYC back in the summer and, with Mark Ronson as one of his biggest fans, this guy is bound to become a household name with his mix of retro sounding, jazz influenced tunes. Opening up is British band The Heavy who are sure to blow you away as well. We told you here first.
