What kind of girl were you designing for?
"We were designing for our friends — a certain kind of girl who shops at flea markets and on eBay, who loves originality and does not want to look like everyone else, who mixes hand-me-downs with designer collaborations and Etsy treasures. We noticed that this girl did not have a real offering at the Vena Cava price point. We wanted to make her something singular that she could buy without going broke."
