Here's What Your Love Life Looks Like This Month

comments
Be still thy beating heart! September is off to an auspicious start as cosmic lovebirds Venus and Mars make an exact connection on the 1st. What we want and need becomes even clearer after the 6th, when Venus snaps out of a five-week retrograde. Keep it PG though, people. Stern Saturn trudges through sexy Scorpio until the 17th, putting our naughtier natures on ice. With two eclipses this September — on the 13th and 27th — there will be lots of surprises in store. Secret crushes may be revealed, and our own hidden desires will come to light. Romance gets epic on the 23rd, when the sun heads into Libra for a month. Bring on the red roses, promise rings, and teary-eyed declarations of love. But, make sure you’re sure before you get down on bended knee or fire off a sexy Snapchat, because Mercury is retrograde from September 17 until October 9, causing signals to scramble.

Virgo Love Forecast

Love thyself, and a healthy relationship will follow. With a posse of planets in Virgo this September, get into what makes you happy — hobbies, travel, or building solid friendships with your GFs. The Virgo solar eclipse on the 13th kicks a solo project into high gear (one that began on August 11, when Jupiter moved into your sign). When you’re in the zone, you are irresistibly attractive. You’ll need a longer leash under these independent star beams, for sure, but make an extra point of including your sweetie in your game plan. Otherwise, a good one could slip away. Want to make a relationship exclusive and official? The second eclipse on the 27th could bring a proposal, pregnancy, or rock-solid commitment. Sexy is back with this eclipse, too. Refresh your lingerie drawer, and explore new avenues of pleasure with the one you adore.

Your Beauty Forecast: Contoured Cheeks
To get the look, start with a clean canvas of foundation, concealer, and powder. To contour, choose a foundation stick two shades darker than your natural skin tone. Glide it along your hairline at the temples, into the hollows of your cheeks, and down the sides of your nose. Use your fingers to blend. Then, highlight with a foundation stick that’s two shades lighter than your usual shade. Apply this one atop your cheekbones, in the center of your forehead, down the bridge of your nose, and along your jawline; blend with your fingertips. Make your eyes sparkle against your skin with a bit of shimmering taupe shadow along your upper and lower lashlines. Then, brighten up your cheeks with a mix of coral cream blush on the apples and a dusting of rosy powder blush on top. Finish with a candy-pink lip stain to bring out your peaches-and-cream complexion.
