Pandora Sykes is the London-based fashion features editor and Wardrobe Mistress columnist for The Sunday Times Style magazine, stylist, and founder of the style and social commentary blog, pandorasykes.com. She has no sense of direction and is unable to suspend her disbelief (she doesn't care if the apartment in Friends is rent-controlled, they would never be able to live there!), but rides a unicycle like a dream.
Top, jeans, boots. Is an outfit consisting of three pieces of clothing (slipper socks, I’m not counting you) really worthy of editorial? Why, yes! It may not be my daily mufti, but sometimes, the simple things in life are the best. Enter: the tank. I’ve invested heavily in this piece over the years and learned that a good one can be tricky to find — but, thankfully, they are now in accessible abundance. (Hollerrrr seventies revival!) Current roll call includes a Blake Ldn, a tank that almost masquerades as a tabard, Bella Freud, and this zingy guy from Zara.

Layer one over a poloneck or shirt now, sans any of that, including brassiere, later (this photo was taken several weeks ago, when it was actually on the cusp of GETTING WARM). My favorite way to wear a tank is with any denim that isn’t skinny and my pretty-much-worn-every-day Gucci boots. But, I'm also thinking of matching my red suede skirt for my next tank ensemble...
