Our Top Five Favorite Fall/Winter Ad Campaigns So Far
There's never a dull moment in fashion. As soon as you think the fall shows are over, it's onto cruise, and resort, and then the fall lines you had already forgotten about start hitting the shelves. In between all that you might not even have time to think about the ad campaigns! So, to help you sort out the visual riff-raff, we've narrowed down our top five fall campaigns, including Marc's dizzying dip and Raquel's sequined turn for Armani. And as the new ads keep trickling in (Miu Miu, Lanvin, we can't wait!), stay tuned for Part Two of our round-up.

Longchamp: Daria Werbowy & Kate Moss by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott
Fleet Week has come and gone in New York, but we've still got sailors on the mind. It's always been our dream to have a row of handsome, white-clad navy dudes holding us up while we tote the season's newest handbag, but as usual, Miss Moss beats us to our fantasies. Damn her.

Dolce and Gabbana: Heidi Mount, Mariacarla Boscono & Edita Vilkeviciute by Steven Klein
Count on Dolce & Gabbana to bring the glamour, and bring it, they do! Not only are we glad to see veteran model Mariacarla back in the campaign biz, but we never thought a casino could look so high-fashion. Kind of perfect for Dolce's exquisite brand of over-the-top, classy-meets-tacky indulgence, no?

Marc Jacobs: Natasa Vojnovic, Kamila Filipcikova, and Ajuma Nasenyan by Juergen Teller
Marc kind of does the same ads every season...typically Juergen Teller, typically quirky, typically does nothing to showcase the clothes. But the one with Natasa dangling out a window is giving us instant vertigo, and any sort of visual assault usually does wonders for memory and brand recognition. It was proven in psychology, or something. Plus the shot of Ajuma throwing up her fists really makes us want to go dancing.

Valentino: Iris Strubegger by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott
Iris has a perfectly androgynous look that's undeniably of-the-moment, while Mert & Marcus keep the characteristically moody lighting of past Valentino ads. But our question: What will retired Emperor Valentino think of Iris' legs all splayed out like a man's? He's a real lady, after all.

Giorgio Armani: Sean Opry and Raquel Zimmerman by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott
And Mert & Marcus do it again! We've long held a torch for Sean O, and GQ's former Man of the Year has never looked finer in stark black-and-white. As for seasoned stunner Raquel? Well, who else could do that sequined sheer top such glam-arific splendor?
