Our Favorite Disney Characters Get Resurrected on the Runways

With hackneyed money-machines like the Jonas Brothers and Miley taking over the planet, it's easy to forget why we first fell in love with Disney the first time around. Thankfully, designers on both sides of the Atlantic tapped into the Golden Age of Disney for their spring collections, channeling our beloved childhood animations to fantastical effect. Drawing inspiration from old Walt's feistiest villains to the dancing elephants of Fantasia (our favorite!), these looks are definitely making us want to play dress up, 2-D style.



Christopher Kane hits the mark again with a floaty blue frock that we would gladly wear down the rabbit hole.

Work your finest Cruella de Vil look in this gothic Temperley outfit. Just no kidnapping puppies, please!

In the orchestrated wonder that was Fantasia, it was Elephanchine and her bubble-blowing elephants that won our hearts. And Michael Kors' too, it seems.

Always overshadowed by his looming overlord Jafar in Aladdin, Iago the parrot gets his day in the sun on the Marc Jacobs runway.

With tan draping and tribal tattoos, Rodarte's strong spring look echoes all the right elements of our favorite bad-ass Disney princess.
