Swoon alert! A new bar/cafe/book-exchange spot in Hayes Valley, Two Sisters Bar and Books, won't even open for another two months, but we're already somewhat smitten with the concept. 7x7 got the lowdown on the new space, including its grand-opening date (September), bits and pieces from the menu (deviled eggs and whiskey souffle tarts), and interiors (vintage-y wallpaper, candlelight, and this dreamy Brooklyn spot serving as inspiration), and more! The two sisters behind the space—located at 579 Hayes Street—also revealed their reasoning for the whole thing: "We wanted a place to hang out with books, not feel like dorks, and have a proper drink." And we totally get this. Can it be September already?
