Do You Have What It Takes To Design For Trina Turk?

Do you find yourself critiquing the mannequins in the windows of designer boutiques? Is your favorite reoccurring dream the one where your fashions are on the catwalk? We say it's about time you started turning your designer dreams into a reality.
California girl Trina Turk and Chicago-based Threadless have collaborated on an exciting design challenge that gives one lucky winner the opportunity to be a part of the designer's fall collections. You've got until August 30 to come up with an amazing print that is worthy of being used for Turk's home line, ready-to-wear collection, and the Mr. Turk label — not too much pressure, right? While this contest places you in the driver's seat, you may want to take note that Turk is known for her use of vibrant colors, and her collections are often influenced by vintage apparel from the '60s and '70s.
The winner will also receive a $2,000 cash prize, a $2,000 Trina Turk gift card, a $500 Threadless gift certificate, and goodies from Trina Turk’s fall '13 collection. To get you even more excited, you can officially say you're among a list of influential Trina Turk design collaborators, which includes brands like Banana Republic and The Grace Bay Club of Turks & Caicos. Who knows? Your winning print could be spotted on celeb Trina Turk enthusiasts like Taylor Swift, Leighton Meester, Kristen Bell, and countless others. How's that for bragging rights?
