Floral's New Order

A bevy of fresh new blooms blossom on the streets. By Kelley Hoffman

At the beginning of the summer, we reported Liberty Prints were the pattern of the present. But now it seems those little flowers have bloomed into a fuller form, recalling French realist Henri Fantin-Latour's floral still lifes, particularly the piece on the cover of New Order's 1983 seminal album, Power, Corruption, and Lies.

While we're not the ones who like to tell you, just what to wear (maybe a little), we're thinking end of summer flowers have grown to look less grunge, and more fragrant. We've rounded up some girls sporting this print on party dresses from Turku to London to Brooklyn.
