The only men's shop in a neighborhood jammed with antique stores, Hollander and Lexer is designed to make the most reluctant male shopper feel at ease. Owners Hicham Benmira and Brian Cousins made a spur of the moment decision to move on an available property across the street from their own antiques store, Darr. A little over a season later, their new menswear shop Hollander and Lexer opened its doors.

The duo carried the eclectic vibe of Darr across the street into their new retail space decorating it with antique busts and paintings and a vintage postal organizer to house the French toiletries collection, Botot. Pipe racks from the 1920s are filled with Steven Alan shirts, Rag & Bone jeans, as well as a generous mix of local designers, including Nicholas K. and Lincoln Mayne. The pair also carries an extensive collection of men's accessories, including messenger bags by Filson and sleek leather goods from Jutta Neumann. With an added assortment of whale jaws, sea urchins, and turtle shells placed in jars around the store, the quirky spirit here melds seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood, making the crossover from furnishings to fashion an easy one.
