Your Meatpacking Staycation Just Got A Whole Lot Better

We know, we know, you're already obsessed with Plunge for its sprawling rooftop overlooking the MPD (pool, view, and sip-em-all-night drinks included!). But now you have even more reason to staycation at the Gansevoort Hotel. Welcome Toy, the new brainchild restaurant hot spot from Dual Groupe and executive chef Doron Wong. Yes, his space's decor lives up to its name and the menu also delivers to any appetite or expectation. Think: melt-in-your-mouth black cod, playful desserts, and savory dim sum plates in a resto that looks like the Willy Wonka's glass elevator.... but 7,000-square-feet. The most difficult part may be choosing what to order (the restauranteurs just nixed nearly 70 dishes from their still expansive bites list!) and whether or not to head up to Plunge before or after your lunch, dinner, or late-night snack. Our vote? Both.
