This Is What Your Dad Would Look Like If He Decided To Make A Rap Video

We're going to go ahead and file this one under "sad." As A. Samuels so eloquently explains in the prelude to his music video, one day while working in his casino, a French entrepreneur told him to start "living de life." How did Samuel decide to pursue this idea? By making a this "rap" complete with a music video set in largely in NYC. While the production is actually decent, it's very difficult to overlook the fact that Samuel comes off as a middle-aged man in the middle of a serious midlife crisis. Don't get us wrong, we love a silver fox (hello Anderson Cooper), but the white baggy sweatshirt, ripped jeans, and blingy necklace is just cringe-inducing, like when your dad talks about how hot Fergie is in front of your friends (true story). We're also left with many questions—what's with the random smoke? Are his rhymes so hot that he's on fire? What's with the strange racial comments? Is he aware of how awkward it looks every time he shows off one of his "friends"? Well, if A. Samuels is set on making this career change, then who are we to discourage him? In fact, we think it would be awesome if he collaborated with Countess LuAnn on a song—if we wanted our heads to explode.
