This Is What Young Love Looks Like: Andre And Annabelle

On Wednesday, our faith in love was fully restored. Scene: Standard Hotel. The Boom Boom Room-set ventured downstairs—to the third-floor Highline Room—to spy a screening of André Saraiva and J.M. Weston's short film, "The Shoe," a collaboration with NOWNESS. The cinematic debut of André saw the nightlife impresario team up with the French cobbler on a piece that explores, naturally, a pair of shoes—with an '80s vibe the whole story is played out against a backdrop of ever-stylish Parisians wearing the signature Westons, which are apparently very popular in France. "In America they used to steal your Air Jordans; in France they steal your J.M. Westons,” Saraiva explains. And though we checked the flick, truth be told the script we couldn't ignore was the interplay by Saraiva and his ladylove, Annabelle Dexter-Jones. Call us voyeurs, but their unaffected intimacy made us a feel like a summer romance could be just around the corner. Hopefully, he's wearing some high-end loafers, too.
