Smashed China Jewelry Makes Clumsiness Chic
We've got to thank the bull that ran through Elizabeth Yarborough's china shop because the wee bits of shattered dishware look beyond sweet as necklaces, earrings, and cufflinks in Yarborough Jewelry's newest collection. The latest in her household-trash-gone-trinket line (check out her site for thread spool necklaces, leather button rings and curtain tie pendants), the Chipped China collection was inspired by an heirloom vase and a clumsy hand; Elizabeth memorialized her grandmother's broken vase by stringing the shards on silver chain. But don't go breaking your heirloom china anytime soon—hand-sanded and individually crafted with care, these babies are one-of-a-kind pieces you'll want to get straight from the source. Smashing, aren't they?
