Three-Pointer: British Footwear Comes Stateside
The sneaker industry has a kind of manic feeling about it. Seems every other day sneaker companies are extolling some gimmick: exclusive collaboration! Limited-edition! Neon polka-dot laces for two weeks only! London-based footwear company Pointer, however, brushes off the hype. Instead, they pride themselves on casual but stylish classics. The graphic black-and-white canvas Hesperus sneaker and the simple navy boating-style Bastia model are great for the ladies--they are low-key and a good match for slim trousers. For the guys, the Barajas mid shoe comes in canvas/leather, adding a flourish of woodsman (in brown) or geek-chic (in burgundy).
