Team Refinery Tattoos: Our Favorite Indelible Inks From "No Regrets"

Okay, we may be a little late to the whole No Regrets party. Already the book of almost unbelievable tattoos is on its way to cult classic status. Certainly, the "Dolphin on Lay-Z-Boy with Bong" has become our era's cultural equivalent to Picasso's "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon." Nonetheless, when our paperback edition of Aviva Yael and P.M. Chen's No Regrets: The Best, Worst, & Most #$%*ing Ridiculous Tattoos Ever crossed the office threshold, work stopped, jaws dropped, and an obsession was born. This morning we gathered around the book and picked out which tattoos from this cornucopia of bad, irreversible artistic decisions we would get branded on our skin.

Piera, Style Director: "When I was young and stupid I thought it would be ironic to get a big unicorn tattoo with a rainbow in the background. Boy am I glad I never did that. Now that I'm older and more worldly, I think this 'Swayzaur' tattoo is a perfect choice for me."

Philippe, Creative Director: "The 'Burrito Polaroid' because it's the Most Random Thing Ever. I'd get it on my calf…a little 'summertime special.'"

Christene, Editorial Director: "I prefer Alda's Same Time Next Year look (specifically his '70s period), but his MASH vibe is pretty alright, too."

Lisa, Shops Coordinator: "I'd this get ode to Atari's never-forgotten classic. There's no better way to commemorate my childhood sitting in front of the tv than with Pac-Man imprinted on my ass."

Gabriel, Pipeline Editor: "I'd go for the 'Dinosaur with Fanny Pack' because it's a primitive, primal image whose content and execution not only recalls childhood pleasures, but, like a cave drawing, the first fears and dreams of early humans. Also, it's a dinosaur with a fanny pack."

Allison, Intern: "I'd get the 'Omg Jesus' because I'm from California and I watch The Hills. I need all the help I can get."

Nicole, Intern: "I think I'd go for the Meatwad tattoo. Meatwad is cute, and this is one of the smaller, least offensive ones in this book…well…except for the fact that it's on a dog."

Piera, Style Director: "Okay, okay, I know I already have a full back tat with the Swayzaur but tattoos are addictive and how am I going to live life without party legs? Guess what time it is guys? That's right. Now who wants to dance?"

No Regrets: The Best, Worst, & Most #$%*ing Ridiculous Tattoos Ever is available online and at fine bookstores everywhere.
