Showpony's Purse on a Purse

If the best thing you can say about your makeup bag is that it's FAA-approved, you're due for an upgrade. Showpony's screen-printed, organic cotton purse has a certain—how do you say?—je ne sais quoi. This vintage-inspired purse-on-a-purse showcases designer Emma Henderson's fondness for trompe l'oeil. (Spiders and beetles hide in the prints of other Showpony creations.) This zippered pouch lends even drugstore-brand makeup a certain cachet (think of Wet N Wild as Humide et Sauvage if that helps). Other portables--quarters, cigarettes, purloined letters—will make equally fine stashes. But celebutantes be advised: At approximately four by six inches. this little fairtrade bag is too wee for even the most petit chien. $16
