Ring Around The Hood: Nishi NY LES Street ID Rings

ring1006.jpgLower East Side represent! Schiller's brunchers and Max Fish boozers can show their love for the LES by slipping on a LES Street ID Ring from Nishi NY. Designer Joanna Bengoa, a self-professed typography lover who lives, works, and hangs out in the 'hood, hand-cuts each letter from sterling silver and then hammers them into a ring that spells out your territorial alliances. Choose from Ludlow, Rivington, Orchard, and Delancey, or buy one of each (at $125 a pop), saving your pinky for flashing local gang signs. You Bedford Avers needn't feel left out. Bengoa also offers a Brooklyn ring and can create custom styles for an extra charge—though "North Seventh Street" doesn't exactly have the same ring to it, does it?
