Nicholas Kirkwood's Fall Collection Takes Us to Dizzying New Heights

We were still reveling in the glory of Nicholas Kirkwood's chained, mirrored, and vertiginous heels for Rodarte's spring runway when we caught wind of the British shoe designer's fall 2009 collection. The heels are high as ever, but the too-cool cobbler is mixing things up with some Art Deco-like cutouts, ball bearings performing double duty as a platform, and a boot with floor-grazing fur. We couldn't begin to guess at Kirkwood's inspiration for this madcap collection, but we think getting our hands on a pair might be the first step towards enlightenment. (High Snobette)
