Natural Beauty: Lady Bamford Bath and Body
Some might just be catching on to the trend of "green" living, but Lady Bamford has been doing it for twenty five years. Bamford, a British company founded by the Lady herself, is already well known in its native country for offering expertly crafted, eco-conscious clothing, home goods, and jewelry. But Bamford is more than just a brand, it's an entire philosophy.
The company owns a sustainable farm with an organic garden, and encourages customers to be conscious of the materials that make up what they're buying. Men's jackets are made from hand spun abbica, a plant fiber used for centuries for sailing, glass bottles that hold their pure bath oils are recycled from French wine glasses, and nontoxic ink is used on all packaging. Bamford Body is the latest endeavor from this all-encompassing brand, a collection of unisex bath and body items that follow the company's core motto—to create luxury products using the highest quality ingredients, without sacrificing eco-conscious standards. Produced in the south of England, most products are either 95% organic or completely natural in origin. Soaps, body creams, and oils are scented with herby, fresh oils like geranium and eucalyptus. There are even heart shaped soaps and soft powders made just for children—but who doesn't like to baby themselves?
Available at www.bamford.co.uk and www.daylesfororganic.com.
