Gold Standard: Julia Muggenberg's Luxurious New Beauty Brand
For jewelry designer Julia Muggenberg, the brains behind high-end jewelry label Belmacz, luxury doesn't always have to come at a high price. The designer, who was named one of the top 50 in her field by Vanity Fair, has made a name for herself creating gorgeous chunky baubles for the Barneys set. But while her pieces might not be attainable for everyone, her new beauty line might be considered a bit easier on the wallet. Taking precious materials that she normally uses in her jewelry, Muggenberg has infused shiny glosses and soft powders with gold leaf and pearl dust to create some truly extravagant formulas. But then, Muggenburg is no stranger to extravagance. Just as we adore her quirky, over-the-top jewelry featuring mammoth tusks and shell-clusters, we've taken a shine to these indulgent yet completely useable products. Her newest heavenly cream, to be introduced during Fashion Week, could be her best creation yet—called Halo, it's an ointment made with cocoa butter, rosehip oil, pearl powder, and of course, gold flakes. It melts right into your skin, leaving it buttery soft and shimmery. If that doesn't make you stand out in the tents this fall, we don't know what will.
