Fresh Picks: Jewels from the Green Grocer

Yup, veggies are insanely good for you. Now, it can't hurt to wear them either. Some of our favorite bug-friendly jewelry designers who seem to have a preference for the oft-scorned critter have also been cultivating varied garden produce in their collections. German line Otto von Quast (above) handcasts golden pea necklaces and silver broccoli pendants from real veggies. But he's not the only one to join the harvest.
Clockwise from top left: Karen Walker, Mouton Collet, Karen Walker, Disaya.
Aussie favorite Karen Walker's kooky jewelry collection features sleek silver peas-in-a-pod and carrot pendants. Disaya offers a necklace of rhinestone rabbits noshing on lacquered carrots, and Mouton Collet favors the beta-carotene veggie as well for chunky silver brooches—packed with charm and zero calories.
