There's something about costume jewelry that is so iconic, recalling a bygone era of glamorous dames like Diana Vreeland, Elsa Schiaparelli, and Coco Chanel, none of whom would be caught dead out on the town without a major flash of bold jewelry, from bright flashes of gold and faux pearl to shimmering crystal clusters and big, bold cuffs. Luckily, we're happy to report that costume jewelry is back, and bigger (literally!) than ever. Balenciaga, Marni, and Lanvin were just some of the designers who turned out larger-than-life pieces on the runways, from Swarvoski cuffs that clung to the arm like a trellis to necklaces that looked like out-of-this-world bib styles. But because we want the high drama without the high prices, we've hunted down 12 statement-making pieces, all under $200 (and some for as low as $7!).
