When Chocolate Meets Clay…We Can Explain

2-chicagofoodiegirl
If you're one of those people who consider food as art, you're reading the right post — and perhaps you should submit your latest food porn obsession to share with us all. But if you really want to take your appreciation to the next level, then be sure to make it out to the Chocolate Soirée — an evening of art, convo, truffles, nosh, and the artistic talent of nine Chicago ceramic gurus.
Intrigued? The Salon Series and art exhibition Collective Conversations in Clay are putting on this creative fete — just in time for Valentine's Day. Each clay artist will be paired with a hand-rolled "ugly truffle" by local confectioner CAKE. And in case you are wondering how clay and chocolate coincide, there will be a discussion about how ingredients have the ability to transport the senses into a divine place on both a visual and culinary level.

But don't worry. You're not going to be left standing there drooling like Pavlov's dog. There will be a hearty selection of passed bites, vino, single-malt scotch, and of course, chocolate to keep you satisfied. And if you want to get that Valentine's Day gift for that special someone, packaged truffles and art work will be available for purchase.
