You should have been there to hear the collective gasp of awe from those of us in the office upon seeing Gala Gonzales (of Am Lul fame, and past Perfect Outfit subject) and her infallible pair of trousers. They're slightly tapered, with a slight pleating, and are infused with that crazy kind of pants-magic that can turn a fuddy-duddy sweater into something nearly heavenly. Was it vintage Max Mara? Bespoke tailoring? No--Topshop, in fact, and it's still available for a measly $70. Nevermind the strange crotch puckering in the product shot, because once they're sitting up high on your waist, there won't be a defect in sight.
