Not Your Typical Sports Bar: We Want To Watch The Olympics From This London Gin Mill

fringe-1
There's nothing quite like kicking back in a comfy chair, sipping on a fancy cocktail, and enjoying some fine company in the middle of summer. Now, imagine being able to do that right outside the arena where some of the greatest sporting events this decade will go down. Ultimate bar-going experience? We think so. Naturally, we're totally jealous of everyone who will be able to hang at The Fringe during the London Olympic Games.
Converted from a 19th Century Victorian warehouse into a four-story hangout, The Fringe is a semi-private club that's practically an Olympic party house. Cafe by day and raging club by night, the pop-up spot will be open daily until every Olympic and Paralympic event is through, making its stellar location — a 110-yard walk from Olympic Park — that much more enviable.

We hear it'll have all the usual perks like yummy food and snazzy drinks, but to be able to watch track & field events on TV screens and then hop over to the actual event if you'd like? Now, that's a one-of-a-kind experience. Add Swiss furniture, Baccarat chandeliers, and art exhibits throughout the entire spot, and well, how much are plane tickets to London going for again? Time to dig under the couch for some change; otherwise, we might be stuck watching from that comfy seating all summer long.
