WHY: Because she's launched designers like Jason Wu and Prabal Gurung to fame with her outfit choices, made J.Crew feel like a luxury brand, and isn't another First Lady who wears Oscar de la Renta to every black tie ball. We love that she brings some actual fashion sense to D.C., and that she might be the only person in the White House to ever own Lanvin sneakers.
