What began as a website that played to our voyeuristic side, letting us peek into the designer-laden digs of tastemakers, The Coveteur has evolved into a more varied chronicle of all things behind-the-scenes. From lifestyle to fashion to culture, this site examines the creative process, inspiration, and influence of the individuals who are defining our times.

THE. BIGGEST. CLOSET. WE’VE EVER SEEN. Solely dedicated to shoes. And if you know the sort of business we’re into, that’s a big effing deal.
Let’s back up for a sec, shall we? It was during our last New York jaunt that we ventured outside of our comfort zone, to the outskirts of the city, down a looonnng, winding road until we were welcomed by a sprawling estate at its dead end. And let’s just say we weren’t disappointed.
It went a little something like this: As we made our way inside, we were greeted by New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and his fiancée, Elaina Watley. (You may remember their adorable surprise proposal
.) They're just as loving in person, so at the end of the visit we weren't only feeling envious of their Balmains.
The duo led us up their vast spiral staircase right up to that mammoth closet we mentioned earlier. But what else would be fitting to house a sneakerhead
collection of Air Jordan 3s and Bin 7s, Nike Air Yeezys, and limited edition Buscemi
We sorted through the outsized collection of our sneaker dreams, pulling out so much KITH, Saint Laurent, Ovadia & Sons, and Givenchy it was hard to keep track of. After all of that, it was Watley’s turn and her wardrobe of Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, and jewel-toned Manolos (to name a few); we couldn’t wait to document it all.
There were also sentimental finds, like the leather-bound wallet gifted by Cruz’s late father and the “Kennedy” necklace Cruz custom inscribed so that he could wear his daughter’s name every day. Then, it was Kennedy herself, who practically stole the show and made more than one cameo into Cruz and Watley's portraits. We'll admit, she definitely sweetened a pretty sweet deal.
