Inside Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Gorgeous L.A. Pad

"I interned at a modelling agency when I was 15," says Rosie Huntington-Whiteley when we interviewed her in her L.A. home. "I wanted to go to college and study fashion and design, so I figured doing work experience at a modeling agency would expose me to the industry the most; however, I just ended up making cups of tea and photocopying! One day, one of the agents asked me if I’d ever consider modeling. I thought she was joking but jumped at the chance as I thought I’d finally get to go on a photoshoot! I booked a job the next day and the rest is history!"

"One of my favorite pieces [from my Marks & Spencer lingerie collection] has to be the Rosie for Autograph Amethyst Silk Plunge Bra and Brief set – the signature style from my collection in a beautiful and flattering jewel color. I also particularly love the full length nightgown. For me, it evokes memories of vintage Hollywood glamor."

"London and L.A. are so different! I love both places for completely opposite reasons, I’m so lucky to get to split my time between them both. In London people tend to experiment more with fashion and are always dressed to impress. In L.A. it's very laid back and all about being comfortable. I find people here are not so conscious about trends or style. The weather makes a huge impact on how we get dressed everyday too. In London you will always need a great coat and in L.A., you’ll always need cool jeans and sunglasses."

"I love getting the opportunity to be creative when working with my design team at Marks & Spencer. It's a really fascinating and rewarding journey that starts as an idea and inspiration and evolves over many stages. I get such a buzz when the products finally come to life. Creating a product that appeals to all women can be the biggest challenge, but I like a challenge and I love to find out what other women want. I do a lot of research and testing on friends and family. We start with the catwalk trends and go from there. I look into my own wardrobe and find pieces that I want to recreate. I have been collecting vintage lingerie from all of my travels for over a decade."

"My first designer splurge was on a Chloe Silverado handbag when I was 17. I had never owned anything so expensive! I’d seen it in all the magazines and on all the celebrities; it was the It bag of the moment so I saved for weeks. I still have that bag and I will never part with it!"

"I like to be very organized, in case you hadn’t noticed! I recommend matching clothes hangers; the thin ones allow more space. Always fold knitwear, and if you really want to go for it, you can color coordinate everything! Also a good 'throwout' every couple of months helps to keep things in order. I donate most of my old clothes to Goodwill or give them to my girlfriends."

"I make sure to always remove my makeup before I go to bed. I cleanse, tone and moisturize at least twice daily. I use an SPF in the morning and a light moisturizer in the evening before bed. I don’t tend to do well with heavy creams, but everyone is different. It's important to find out what works for you. Facials are a key part of my beauty regime as well as drinking a lot of water and getting good sleep. I use a retinol cream a couple times a week by my esthetician Shani Darden. It’s great for fine lines, scars and acne."

"I find inspiration in everything; it could be something as small as a print or fabric detail I see, to a vintage slip or palazzo pants at a flea market. We always look at customer feedback, I think it's very important to listen to the people buying the products."

"For spring we have taken inspiration from the faded beauty of Rococo art and the decadent spirit of Versailles. The collection is all about femininity and has been designed to make a woman feel utterly beautiful in her lingerie."

"I’m not very patient when I have to get ready for something personal, so I usually do minimal makeup and hair. I always wash and dry my hair, a little mascara, a smudge of eyeliner, and a little blush on the cheeks and brow bones. For work and special events I let the experts take over!"

"I have had a few red carpet regrets for sure. Once I discovered my whole dress was torn on the way to the red carpet in Vegas. Luckily, we were in a hotel and dove into a men’s suit shop and there was a tailor on hand who kindly sewed me in!"

"The vintage Hermès bracelet and watch were a lovely Valentine's gift a few years ago. I love hummingbirds and even have a little hummingbird tattoo on my wrist, so my brother gave me this little antique picture for Christmas. I adore it. My mother gave me the little antique silver clock and my grandparents gave me the silver pot. I love little antique trinkets and finds, they are so special and make lovely personal gifts."
