The folks over at The Coveteur love playing to our voyeuristic side, and each week, the OG closet invaders will let us peek into the designer-laden digs of their — and our! — favorite tastemakers. Just one warning: The lust-worthy displays may cause an undying impulse to hang your jewels on your kitchen sink’s faucet. Now, let the swooning begin!
“I bought this Dior Homme jacket years ago,” Cat Deeley told us, holding up a varsity-meets-Sgt. Pepper's style number. “Five days after I bought it, before I'd ever worn it, Kanye West wore exactly the same jacket to perform at the Brit Awards, on stage with 500 bikini clad women, sprayed gold!” We ooh-ed and ah-ed over the pile of treasures on Deeley’s bed: A vintage Chloé lace dress (“If it looks a little Chanel, it's because it's from one of Karl's collections,” she told us); a glittery number by her “fashion fairy godmother” friend, Matthew Williamson (“he supplies a fantastic frock and tells you NOT to be home at midnight”); and an amazing Gucci goat hair jacket, which slightly breaks Deeley’s respectable “rule of thumb” (“unless it's vintage or I can eat it, I don't wear it!”), not to mention the racks and walk-in she had, too!
Deeley is every bit as sweet as you can imagine her to be. Her English accent is a definite plus, but it’s her bubbly personality that shines through. The Emmy nominated host of So You Think You Can Dance? looked camera-ready as usual, and did her thing with Jake before flipping the switch on us. It was all 'Lights, camera, action' as we filmed for an episode of Deeley’s web series, In The Dressing Room, which has featured past guests like Mr. Fashion Fairy Godmother himself, Matthew Williamson. Deeley put us in the hot seat (and by hot seat, we mean the comfy confines of her art deco couch) for a fun one-on-one (actually make that one-on-two)! We chatted about fashion, social media and off-the record things. We had a blast hanging with Deeley who was game for just about anything, even posing for a portrait in her beautiful bathtub. Now that's being Coveteur’d at its finest!

"This is my office/getting ready/yoga room. Multi-tasking! I bought this jacket years ago and five days after I bought it, before I'd ever worn it, Kanye West wore exactly the same jacket to perform at the Brit Awards, on stage with 500 bikini clad women, sprayed gold! So, it had to sit at the back of my wardrobe waiting for its moment to shine! My friends still tease me about my Kanye jacket!" Jacket: Dior Homme

"I love being outdoors in the L.A. sunshine! I hike almost every day, and I take yoga lessons with Camilla Bergstrom. I've finally figured out what works for me and have a schedule I can maintain. I stayed at a tropical paradise in the Maldives called Soneva Fushi. The ocean was breathtaking. I've never seen coral reefs like it before, or since! For my travel I need my iPod and a great book. I just read Patti Smith's Just Kids. I need my magazines (French Vogue, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, InStyle), along with my scarves, jewelry, EmergenC, Rodial Beauty Balm, and my computer. And, also my diary." Shoes: New Balance; Clutch: Jimmy Choo

"I'm trying to teach myself how to cook. It all started when I turned 35! I was 35 years old and couldn't roast a chicken! Appalling! I just never used to find cooking relaxing. In fact, it stressed me out. Now I just pour myself a glass of delicious red wine and I find it really theraputic. I'll attempt anything, but my rack of lamb is pretty good, and I make a mean salad. As for the chicken? I can roast one of those quicker than you can say Julia Child!" Hat: Vintage

"I actually bought [this dress] when I was skiing! I was on the slopes and stopped for a hot chocolate, spied the Valentino store, promptly removed the skiis and dragged my instructor into the shop with me. Just couldn't resist this dress, and tried it on. Fell in love. Paid. Packaged. Skiied home!" Dress: Valentino; Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood

"Matthew Williamson is the fashion fairy godmother every girl needs. He supplies a fantastic frock and tells you NOT to be home at midnight! He was a guest on [my webisode series] In The Dressing Room. It was quite hard interviewing him: we tried so hard to be sensible, but all we wanted to do was just be silly. We had to try and fit all our gossiping into the time it took to light his Bruton Street store." Dress: Matthew Williamson

"These are my favourite shoes at the moment. I actually got them on sale, but they were such a a great purchase because they're a classic! I actually got to meet the totally charming Mr. Ford on a plane back to London. He is just innately stylish and has such exquisite taste. He was such a gentleman, he opened every door; I couldn't help but fall in love a little. I talked to the British Airways ladies about meeting him and the same gooey misty eyed look came over their faces! Ah, the fantastic Mr. Ford!" Shoes: Tom Ford

"They look like a weapon and they certainly do some damage to my feet! The butterfly jar is from Palm Springs. I recently renovated my house, so road trips to Palm Springs are among my current obsessions. It's great to just jump in the car, Jack FM on the stereo, and go hunting for treasure in the vintage stores and retro furniture stores." Shoes: Givenchy

"I buy a Dries piece almost every season, sometimes even from the menswear collection (the scarves are always amazing!). I love his designs; they are completely timeless, they're forever clothes. I love a glass of champagne, too. It can make even the most average Monday seem like a Saturday night. I always say there's happiness in every bubble!" Shirt: Dries Van Noten

"I always remove my makeup before I go to bed. Clinique Take the Day Off balm does the trick in moments, followed by their face wash. Then I smother Rodial's Glam Balm all over. I also do this on the plane to prevent my skin becoming dehydrated. It's not the most glamorous look; I call it my "swimming the channel" approach!" Shoes: Tom Ford
