There’s nothing better than flipping through the first edition of a brand-spanking-new magazine, especially one dedicated to highlighting our awesome city. With The Bold Italic’s first print issue hitting newsstands this week, there will also—naturally—be a big bash to celebrate the the website's journey into analog! It's all going down Friday, September 16, Mad Men-style at the Beaux-Arts penthouse dome of Gershoni Creative ad agency, where the folks of TBI will be kicking off their debut publication, titled 25 Ways to Be a Local. In addition to lots of high-brow lit talk, there'll be tunes from DJ Jantine B. and Velocity Circus, ROOT-infused dranks from The Cocktail Lab, and tasty nibbles from Black Jet Baking Co., Grilled Cheez Guy, Sinto Gourmet, and more! The shindig even has shopping fanatics covered with a Bold Italic pop-up shop filled with curated items from the magazine's artsy friends.
